Welcome to Kechara Forest Retreat-New Pictures!
Ground works for Kechara Forest Retreat (KFR) officially began on 3rd October 2012. Construction took place for a little over a year for Phase 1, and has recently been completed.
Kechara Forest Retreat is a 35-acre piece of land nestled in the forested areas of Malaysia. Located 1 hour away from Kuala Lumpur (capital city of Malaysia), it’s a place where everyone and anyone can step away from the hectic city life and take their time to rejuvenate their mind, body and soul.
Here, we will give back to society through educational programmes for the young and the old, by instilling universal values such as patience, acceptance, kindness and compassion. We are currently running breathing meditation programs, spiritual retreats, prayer sessions, and other volunteer programs related to organic gardening and retreat maintenance. Most of our Kechara events are now held at the meditation hall called Wisdom Hall at KFR.
Many people have started flying in from all over the world to experience KFR… to accommodate for more people, we are looking into commencing Phase 2 soon. KFR provides a unique opportunity to experience a sustainable spiritual lifestyle within a conscious community.
Below are images, videos, contact information, directions and maps etc for all who are interested… Enjoy browsing through!
