Retreat in ‘Gyenze Cave’ and Dukkar Apartments
Who is Je Tsongkhapa and what are the benefits of doing Je Tsongkhapa practice?
Any obstacles for long life, any obstacles of hatred such as the defilements of hatred, ignorance and desire coming up, making us collect bad karma and decreasing our life span will be blocked by Je Rinpoche’s practice.

H.E the 25th Tsem Rinpoche mentioned to us before that it will be very good for Kechara House members and Kechara staff to do a Lama Tsongkhapa retreat once every six months as it will be very beneficial for us.
Upon our Guru’s instruction, the Kechara Forest Retreat team have been doing so. We just finished our Lama Tsongkhapa retreat in November. Recently, Lew and Swee Keong of E Division completed their Tsongkhapa retreat too in Kechara Forest Retreat.
A message to Rinpoche from Lew Kwan Leng and Yong Swee Keong of E Division, upon completion of their Lama Tsongkhapa retreat
Dear Rinpoche,
Swee Keong and I would like to update Rinpoche that we have just completed our short Lama Tsongkhapa retreat in the “Gyenze Cave” in MH today, which SK and I did 10,000 migtsema each (I really like the cozy space here in MH as it really feels like a cave).
During retreat, Joy and Sarah has helped to cook for us so that we do not need to worry about food. After we completed the retreat, we proceeded to clean up the Gyenze Chapel in front of KFR.
We thank Rinpoche for providing such a conducive place to do our practice. We wish to dedicate the merits collected during this retreat to Rinpoche’s long life and all Kechara’s projects, so that Lama Tsongkhapa, Dorje Shugden and Vajrayogini teachings can spread in this region.
Lew Kwan Leng
Dear Rinpoche,
I have completed my 10,000 Lama Tsongkhapa mantra retreat. This my 2nd Lama Tsongkhapa retreat for this year but doing it as an individual retreat.
I dedicate the merits of this retreat to Rinpoche’s long life, continue turning the wheel Dharma, and all Kecharians inner and outer obstacles be cleared.
