More and more work are being completed at KFR. Last night the Ladrang team went to clean and arrange the furniture for Rinpoche’s cabin. It now looks so comfortable.

Besides the contractors, there have also been many visitors visiting KFR:

  • We have Tuan Wong, who is an avid supporter of Kechara. Tuan Wong owns a security firm who provides security guards to Kechara. His company provides excellent service!
  • Led by Pastor Ngeow, a group from Kechara House visited KFR in the morning . This includes the 3 nuns-to-be. It is good that the nuns and Pastors were there to witness the progress as they will then be able to explain to others.
  • Later in the day, Julia (Vice President of Kechara Soup Kitchen, KSK) brought Mr. PK Cheng to KFR for a visit. They met Datuk May there and he was seen to be shoveling dirt and leveling the land. Mr. PK Cheng has a successful electrical appliances business and have been continuously supporting KSK. It is so great that he came to see our new project for himself.

Below are pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Workers constructing the butterlamp house. Work is going on nicely.

Mr. PK Cheng and Datuk May shoveling dirt to level the ground. Mr. Cheng has been supporting KSK through his company Khind, which is a huge electrical appliances manufacturer. It’s so nice of him to come for a visit.

The fence is up and we do not need to be wary of any animals who may wander within the living quarters during the night.

Wow, within a few hours, the brick walls at the butterlamp house is up!

Julia, Vice President of KSK, brought Mr. PK Cheng to KFR.

Karen, Joe and Phoebe in Rinpoche’s cabin to clean and fix up the curtains. Can’t wait the see the finished cabin!

This is the furnished cabin. Doesn’t it look comfortable and cozy? We hope that Rinpoche likes it.

Tuan Wong came for a visit. He is impressed with KFR and he will provide security guards for Rinpoche’s safety.

The satellite dish from Maxis arrived in the afternoon. We need to get connected to the world even though we are in the jungle!

The Maxis technicians worked until the wee hours of the night. Finally, we got connected to the Internet!

A row of spikers to provide privacy for Rinpoche.

Professor Choi, Yoke Fui, Pastor Yek Yee and May Ong climbing up the hillock to get to the abode. The look so cheery and happy! It is nice to be within nature.
