Inner Reflection Retreat

Kechara Forest Retreat (KFR) is inspired by H.E. Tsem Rinpoche’s vision to create an authentic holistic spiritual centre for modern day aspirants to get away from the hustle and bustle of hectic city life.

Observing the exposure of modern society to processed food, emotional strain and intellectual stress, Tsem Rinpoche conceptualised a haven within the natural forests of Pahang, Malaysia where people can rest and heal their bodies, spirits and souls through our carefully crafted nature programs. KFR is unique because it is founded on a synergy of modern lifestyles and traditional philosophies of living.

We are extending the opportunity for visitors to engage in inviting, fun and effective wholesome-living nature programs. These programs encompass a variety of activities to give participants a comprehensive experience of Mother Nature and KFR. Custom-designed programs can also be drawn up from the selection of activities available.

Inner Reflection Retreat

The Inner Reflection Retreat is a 3-day journey to personal discovery that is intimate, forgiving and empowering. The retreat is specially designed to allow participants to apply meditation techniques acquired through the Inner Peace Retreat to accomplish visible and sustainable progress in their spiritual journey.

Through in-depth meditation sessions, participants are coached in reflection exercises that develop understanding of the workings of the mind. Participants will observe their thoughts arise with clarity and experience the impact these thoughts have on their emotions and consequent actions. Contemplation on these observations will, in turn, enable participants to identify the source of their life experiences: those that are joyful as well as those of anguish.

Effective contemplation opens the doors to realisation that is a revelation of knowing oneself, which is the stepping-stone to a building a constructive relation with ourselves, our goals, the people we love and society.

All inner reflection works are done within the open, peaceful and loving space of Mother Nature.

A Slice of Heaven "Sponsor a lot of land in the Kechara Forest Retreat, which will go towards the cost of the land and the facilities being built therein. Your support will help make this meritorious project a reality. Contributing to the building of a monastery or a place of worship is a very meritorious act, as taught by the Buddha and many ancient masters that came before. As the Buddha described the benefits of building monasteries to King Sangyal, he taught that people who build monasteries will always have incredible wealth and power in future lives, and will eventually attain enlightenment. The great Indian yogi, Nagden Pawo also said that anyone who contributes to the building of a Buddhist institution, no matter how small that contribution is, even if it is just requesting others for donations, continuously collects tremendous merits even as they go about their daily lives". - shared by Pastor Antoinette
