Inner Reflection Retreat

Kechara Forest Retreat (KFR) is inspired from the vision to create an authentic holistic lifestyle center where modern day spiritual aspirants can go for a get away from the hustle and bustle of hectic city life.

Observing the exposure of modern society to processed food, emotional strain and intellectual stress, our spiritual guide, H.E Tsem Rinpoche, conceptualized a haven within the natural forest of Pahang, Malaysia where people can go to rest and heal their body, spirit and soul through our carefully crafted nature program. KFR is unique because it is created from the synergy of modern lifestyle and traditional philosophies of living.

We are now extending the opportunity for visitors to engage in inviting, fun and effective wholesome-living nature programs. There are set programs that encompass a variety of activities to give participants a comprehensive experience of Mother Nature and KFR. Tailor designed programs can also be drawn up from the selection of activities available.

Inner Reflection Retreat

The Inner Reflection Retreat is a 3-days journey to personal discovery that is intimate, forgiving and empowering. The retreat is especially designed in a way that allows participants to apply meditation techniques acquired in the Inner Peace Retreat to accomplish visible and sustainable progress in their spiritual journey.

Through in-depth meditative sessions, participants are coached in reflection exercises that develop understanding of their mind-works. Participants will observe their thoughts arise with clarity and experience the impact these thoughts have on their emotions and consequent actions. Contemplation on these observations will, in turn, enable participants to identify the source of their life experiences: those that are joyful as well as those of anguish.

Effective contemplation opens the doors to realization that is a revelation of knowing oneself, which is the stepping-stone to a building a constructive relation with ourselves, our goals, the people we love and society.

All these inner reflection works are done within the open, peaceful and loving space of Mother Nature.

Take note that this is a silent retreat. To enhance your experience during the 3 days, you are advised to refrain from using any electronic devices such as Hand Phone, iPad and Laptop.

Cancellation Policy : Full Refund less RM75/person administration charge will be issued for cancellation made 7 working days before the retreat check-in date.

Day 1:

Inner reflection is a powerful process that reconnects us to the core our being. Therefore, thorough consideration is put into preparing a detailed explanation and guidelines that will become the blueprint on the journey into mindfulness of body, speech and mind during the retreat.

The explanation will include the process, additional techniques to further compliment your meditation experience as well as benefits of reflective meditation exercises.

After the orientation, participants will have 15 minutes to reflect on the information received and share questions they may have.

10.30am – 12.30pm:    Breathing Meditation (Practice & Set motivation)

12.30pm – 1.30pm:       Lunch (silence required; meditational)

1.30pm – 2.30pm:         Reading on Anger

2.30pm – 4.00pm:         Contemplative Meditation on Anger

4.30pm – 5.30pm:         Contemplative meditation on Patience

6.00pm – 7.00pm:          Walking Meditation

7.00pm – 7.30pm:          Freshen Up

7.30pm – 8.30pm:          Dinner

8.30pm – 9.30pm:          Contemplative Meditation – Compassion


Day 2:

6.00am – 6.30am:           Hot Drink

6.30am – 7.30am:           Sunrise Meditation

7.30am – 8.30am:           Walking Meditation

8.30am – 9.30am:           Breakfast

9.30am – 10.30am:         Meditation Fundamentals – Visualization(Healing Light through Breathing)

Visualization is a traditional technique that sharpens our concentration and enhances the clarity of our thoughts because it develops our ability to “see” using our subtle mind.

This visualization practiced is inspired by the Menlha tradition that is customarily used to heal the body and mind.

11.15am – 12.30pm:     Contemplative Meditation on Patience using Visualization

12.30pm – 1.30pm:        Lunch

1.30pm – 2.30pm:          Reading on Anger 2

2.30pm – 4.00pm:          Contemplative Meditation on Anger 2

4.30pm – 5.30pm:          Contemplative Meditation Patience

6.00pm – 7.00pm:          Walking Meditation

7.00pm – 7.30pm:           Freshen Up

7.30pm – 8.30pm:           Dinner

8.30pm – 9.30pm:           Contemplative Meditation on Forgiveness

Day 3:

9.30am – 11.00am:          Visualization Exercise

11.15am – 12.30pm:        Expression through colors
